It is ideal for kids, families and for adults who want to have fun. We can find several sledge slopes nearby; the closest ones are in Kals and Lienz.
This 4-km-long toboggan run starts in the middle station of the Kals cable car and runs in the forest along the ski slope. We must pay attention that the same track is for skiers and sledging.
There is another shorter sledge slope for kids in Kals, located along the surface lift of Großdorf.
Starting from outside the Unterlesach village we find the sledge slope, after walking up to the top of the track, we can slide back on the steep toboggan run for 1.5 km.
We find two different toboggan runs by the ski lift in Lienz-Hochstein, one is a 4 km long that starts near the Gasthof Sternalm and another 2.5 km run near the Moosalm.
There are other sledge slopes starting in Amlach near Lienz and another one from Tristach, we can get up to the top on foot.
Halfway between Lienz and Sillian a 5-km long toboggan run starts from the village of Bichl, which can be reached by a 1.5 hour walk uphill and then slide back to the bottom of the track.
